Why I Use Reclaimed Wood...

Scientists estimate that we are losing more than 137 species of plants and animals every day because of rainforest deforestation.

Logging tropical hardwoods like mahogany, teak, rosewood, and other timber for furniture is clearly unsustainable for any length of time.

 It is estimated that wood waste from construction and demolition represent 28% of the waste stream every year.  Frontier Salvage & Design is committed to the protection of the environment and sustainability of the earth's resources.  By using reclaimed wood we save trees which allows more living forests to remain intact.

Not only are we able to save trees, but we are able to cut down on air pollution.  Cargo ships have become one of the nation's leading sources of air pollution.  A huge portion of furniture is shipped to the U.S. from China and other areas outside of the U.S.  By buying locally as much as possible we are helping to eliminate unneccesary pollution.
